Employability Skills Day 2019

InSite recently attended Swansea’s College of Engineering Employability Skills Day in order to inspire young minds within the STEM subjects and give a taster of what life is like working in the industry. InSite’s Dafydd, (pictured, right)  who attended the event is currently in the midst of a year in industry placement with InSite, so was a great help for students wanting to understand exactly what that entails.

The company stand was incredibly popular with Steve, Dai, Gavin and Dafydd kept busy answering questions and offering guidance to the engineers of the future. It was great to see other industry giants such as Rolls Royce and Tata Steel in attendance.

InSite assisted with mock interviews for the students to help prepare them for placement and graduate assessments and also carried out interviews for prospective placements students of our own from the emerging talent Swansea has to offer. Events such as these are key to ensuring that essential skills are developed for the future of industries and are crucial in creating talent pipelines for businesses.
