InSite Technical Growing In A New Partnership

New Partnership With Vulcain Engineering Group

– InSite are delighted to be working in a new partnership with the Vulcain Engineering group, a major energy player with a strong heritage and reputation in nuclear technology, and an extensive international presence. InSite will benefit from the experience, reputation, and depth of knowledge of the Vulcain Group, and we look forward to supporting Nicolette Vyce and her team embedded in Hinkley Point engaged in design and project management activities. Vulcain are active in civil design, construction planning, piping specification and mechanical engineering, as well as in project controls, cost reporting, contract and risk management.

InSite are certified as a Fit for Nuclear (F4N) accredited organisation. With support from the Welsh Government and the Economic Resilience Fund our nuclear capabilities are further strengthened by recent Nuclear Safety Culture training. We are reviewing work processes and working with a consultant to achieve accreditation to ISO 19443.

InSite were recently commissioned to support Pembrokeshire County Council in their application to nominate a site for the STEP Project. This is an exciting opportunity for Wales, which we were happy to support. Vulcain are active on the ITER fusion project, with activities including piping stress analysis, design, and quality control.

The multi-disciplinary engineering design team at InSite have the right skills to support projects in both decommissioning activities and the developing UK nuclear programme. With extensive experience of the oil & gas sector, we have been involved in brownfield modifications over many years and have participated in decommissioning refineries and the re-purposing of sites.
