– InSite Technical are delighted to have made it in to Wales Fast Growth 50 as one of the fifty fastest growing Welsh Businesses for 2020.

ERTC Went Virtual for 2020
– Jake Gotham & Tom Johnston were looking very smart around the InSite building between the 17th-18th November for this years virtual ERTC event.
Over the course of the 2 days, both Jake and Tom had the pleasure of meeting with many new faces to discuss what InSite has to offer.
Jake also had the pleasure of moderating an interesting session the second morning at #ERTC2020, covering ‘Hydrogen, Carbon Capture, GHG Reduction and other Clean Technologies’. The session discussed measures being taken to incentivise hydrogen production, the future of CCUS, case studies of decarbonisation projects, the use of mixed hydrogen fuels in gas turbines for power generation, and how novel technologies are improving the efficiency of carbon capture from hydrogen manufacture.
Sometimes the energy debate is polarised between ‘old’ energy and ‘new’ energy. What is clear is that the old energy industry will have a major contribution to make for some years yet, and that it will continue to embrace developments to reduce its impact on the world. The industry has always been aware of this impact and, since its inception, has been implementing measures to reduce direct emissions to air and water, produce cleaner-burning fuels and improve energy efficiency and process safety. The carbon debate is an extension of this process and one which many refineries are already engaged in. The refining industry is by far the biggest producer and consumer of hydrogen so, as well as measures to reduce its own emissions, the industry has a major role to play as hydrogen is deployed into other parts of our energy infrastructure. InSite Technical Services is working on ‘old’ energy projects, ‘new’ energy projects, helping existing facilities implement new technologies and helping the new industry integrate into existing infrastructure.
ADIPEC 2020
– In addition to ERTC, our Global LNG Manager Steve Miller represented InSite at this years virtual ADIPEC exhibition, where the largest online meeting place for the Oil, Gas and Energy sector took place from the 9th-12th November.
Steve was able to meet with both new and existing clients and friends, while keeping up to date with developments in the industry.
