Jean Martin, CEng MIMechE
Jean is the Managing Director and Director of Operational Services. She is a Chartered Mechanical Engineer with over 20 years’ experience in fuels refining. As the Managing Director, her primary responsibility is to develop the strategic plan and to successfully implement the company policy. Prior to starting up InSite, she was Engineering Manager for 3 years at Milford Haven Refinery, responsible for Inspection, Project Design & Construction. In this role she was charged with ensuring PSSR and COMAH requirements were met, as well as the safe and successful start-up of projects.
Tom Johnston, BEng
Tom is the Engineering Director. He is a Chemical Process Engineer with over 20 years’ experience in the refining and petrochemical industries including: process design; process operating support; operations management project management; and technical consultancy. As the Engineering Director, he is responsible for the successful delivery of all project engineering design works. Before InSite, Tom was Operations Manager for 3 years at Milford Haven Refinery, responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the whole refinery complex, including 150 personnel.
Chris Wheeler, FSP CEng FInstMC
Chris is a Senior Consultant. He is a Functional Safety Professional (TUV id: TP1405080g) and Chartered Engineer with over 30 years’ experience in the petro-chemical and pharmaceutical industries. During this time, he has specialised in the application of industrial control and safety systems in process plant including the development and application of design tools for improved engineering efficiency. Chris serves on the GEL/65/1 committee, UK’s BS EN 61511 maintenance working group, and the Energy Institute SIL/LOPA working group. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Measurement and Control.
Jason O’Malley, CEng MIChemE
Jason is the Project Services Director. He is a Chartered Chemical Engineer with over 15 years’ experience in the oil & gas industry. He has a proven track record in project management and leading process design teams through all project phases from concept to commissioning. Projects from brown field debottlenecks to major green field facilities. Particular expertise in design and operation of oil refineries and onshore oi/gas production facilities. Extensive experience in senior operational and technical roles at both operating and EPC companies. including Process Engineering Manager in a refinery management team.
Jake Gotham, MEng CEng FIChemE
Jake is the Consultancy Director. He is a Chartered Chemical Engineer with over 20 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, and a Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers. As Consultancy Director, he oversees the entire Consultancy offering including forging new relationships with clients, and providing consultancy services directly. He has worked at multiple operating sites as an employee and consultant. His roles have included troubleshooting, optimisation, concept studies, technology selection, process safety, business planning, technology licensing, training and commissioning.
Jon Scarr, CEng MIChemE
Jon is the Quality Director and Lead Process Engineer. He is a Chartered Chemical Engineer with over 10 years’ experience in the oil & gas industry. As Lead Process, his key responsibility is to manage the capacity of process engineering and integrate the input of other disciplines to deliver successful projects. As Quality Manager, Jon developed and implemented a Quality Management System that has successfully been certified to ISO9001 status and works to maintain this certification. He has held engineering positions at both large EPC contractors and operating sites within the petrochemical industry.
