Supporting The Nuclear Sector

– We Design, We Consult, We Support the Nuclear Sector

Our team at InSite have a breadth of knowledge from across the energy spectrum, with many of our engineers having direct nuclear sector experience. Site experience includes work at Wylfa, Trawsfynydd, and ITER in France. This experience, alongside our knowledge of other industries, allows us to offer innovative solutions that are not always considered.

National Apprenticeship Week

– Hosted between the 8th-14th February 2021, the NAW finds itself in its 14th year of promotion.

The “Build The Future” theme encourages everyone to consider how apprenticeships can help individuals develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career, and employers to build a workforce with future ready skills.

We here at InSite would like to celebrate our newest apprentices that started with us in September 2020 from Pembrokeshire College, who have a few words to share about their chosen apprenticeship paths.

Chloe; Electrical Design Apprentice.
Chloe tells us why she chose to do an apprenticeship. “With an Apprenticeship you can learn and work with experienced personnel. I have been able to have 1-to-1’s while maintaining social distancing which has been really useful and makes learning much better for me as there’s more hands on knowledge to be obtained.” Chloe did a work placement with us at InSite when her college tutor recommended the company, “I ended up really enjoying my placement at InSite and so from this I applied for the apprenticeship and was asked to come for an interview, to prepare for this I researched the company in-depth and the reasons why it would be good to come to InSite.” Since joining our team in September, Chloe has felt that “everyone here is friendly and so welcoming, and I really enjoy it here, it gives me more independence when studying.”

Dafydd; Mechanical Apprentice.
Dafydd tells us how he went down the Apprenticeship route and his journey so far. “Upon recommendation from my course tutor and research into InSite, I was impressed and decided to apply for the apprenticeship. I have learned a lot with my apprenticeship so far with InSite. I have enjoyed working as an apprentice as I have gained experience and skills in a role I would like to pursue. I have liked how the apprenticeship allows me to achieve engineering experience alongside earning relevant qualifications.”
